Dave’s Garage Traverse City was founded in the spring of 1995. Since it was founded, we have specialized in Traverse City auto repair! The first shop was located behind Wares Auto Sales. It was one garage bay and a small desk for writing up service tickets. Eventually the garage got so busy that Wares gave an ultimatum and in 1996 we moved to our current location on Hastings Street.
Today, as it always has, the shop specializes in Traverse City auto repair, has 5 talented ASE Certified Master Technicians, and over 100 years of combined service experience. We have worked on classic cars, exotic vehicles, and all types of foreign and domestic automobiles. Our techs are always privy to the latest training opportunities and scan tool technologies, assuring that they are well versed in the complex language your vehicle is speaking. Our lobby is likely the most comfortable and cleanest in Traverse City. It’s stocked with great reading material, and wireless internet. Many of our guests choose to stay even after their work is completed! Beverages are available upon request and we’re constantly getting compliments on our restroom facilities – you’ll just have to come by and see for yourself!

Hello! My name is Stewart Blaine and I have been at Dave's Garage since May of 2022. I have been working on cars since 2003 since graduating from the Chrysler apprenticeship program. I began working for Infiniti in Dayton Ohio and moved to Traverse City in 2012 where I began training as a Mercedes Technician. I am an ASE Master and attained Mercedes Master status in my 10 year Mercedes career. In my spare time my wife Lisa and I enjoy spending time on our boat in the summer and our sleds in the winter. I have a bachelors from Ferris State University and in my free time I compete in the Rally America national stage rally circuit in my open light class Subaru. Both my work and family are a huge part of who I am, and I enjoy the balance of adventure and hands-on expertise in everything I do.

I am married to Sara, and we have two sons, Quinten and Silas. In my free time, I enjoy working around the house and love woodworking. I often say, "If my wife wants it, I will build it!"
My name is Grace. I grew up in Waterford and later moved to Rose City, Michigan, where I began my career in the automotive field. I earned my automotive certificate from Kirtland Community College. During my time there, I had the unique opportunity to participate in a Mopar event at the Woodward Cruise, where I rode with Jay Leno in his new Dodge Demon. After graduating, I became a Master Certified Technician in Michigan. I then moved to Traverse City to work at Bill Marsh Chrysler dealership, and I've since found my professional home at Dave's Garage TC.
My name is Trevor DeShasier, and I was born and raised in the Traverse City area. I've been a certified automotive technician since 2019. I've always enjoyed working on cars, whether it was out of necessity or for friends and family. It just felt right to do what I love every day and help people.
