I had Dave's replace all my fluids and tune up a 1990 Miata. They scheduled me within a week. Drove me home and then picked me up. They provided me with a print out of all the work performed as well as additional inspections they did on my vehicle. I thought they were thorough and professional and I will use them on my other vehicles. I have also recommended them to my friends.
Everyone at Dave's Garage in Traverse City has always provided the best service and are so accommodating with my schedule. I moved to TC from out of state and after disappointing service elsewhere I found Dave's and will never go anywhere else. They have a lifelong customer in both myself and my family. From Heather's cheery voice on the phone to Brandon's easy to understand explanations and their affordable pricing, what's not to love!

These people are great! I was impressed with how neat the place of business is, their kind demeanor, and their honesty. I definitely would recommend to anyone needing auto repair. I wish I didn't live so far away or they would be my go to place for repair! Being a business owner myself I know the difficulties of running a business during this present time. Thank you for helping me out. With the inspection report I was able to get a much better deal on a car I was purchasing from a dealership! The cost of having them look it over was repaid over 10X.
Staff were helpful and responsive. When we asked for an update, they knew exactly what was going on with my car at that point. They got my car fixed even quicker than they originally said. I felt like I was driving a new car when I drove it home. Will definitely go back with any future problems.
Our car broke down and was towed to another garage. They said they could look at our car in 3-4 weeks. We had it towed to Dave's. He diagnosed the problem immediately. Justin was kind, helpful, and displayed total honesty. This repair shop displays old fashioned integrity.

I had the best experience at Dave's Garage. A friend of mine referred me and I couldn't be happier. I called to schedule an immediate oil change and got in the same day, just an hour later. The staff was friendly and prompt. The building and seating area was clean and comfortable as well! After my service was complete I even received a token for a free car wash! And to take it a step further, Heather reached out just a couple of days later to make sure that everything went well with the oil change. Thank you all at Dave's Garage for being trustworthy!

They got me right in to assess if my vehicle was safe to drive gave me a quote and despite being busy got it fixed and on the road fast. Amazing service and fair price. Highly recommend!
Most pleasant vehicle repair experience of my life. Dave's has helped me keep my truck and my SUV running great. Any time I've come in, I've been able to use their loaner vehicle while they work on my mine. Clear and frequent communication and friendly service make this my go-to garage. I don't know how their services compare to other garages in town price-wise, and I really don't care to find out, because I doubt I'd find a place that can match the quality and efficiency of service at Dave's. 10/10!

These guys are great! Had an overheating is with an older car I have so I turned it over to Dave’s Garage. Got a detailed estimate of the work and they also pointed a few other things that should be done. Right now I am driving down the road in what feels like a brand new car. Dave’s have been servicing my car for 7 years now and I have always been completely happy with their work.. they have a personal touch and are very reliable and accommodating !
It cost over $200 and took 2 days in order to fail to diagnose 2 problems (CEL and TPMS), and diagnose a third (valve cover gasket oil leak) that I already knew about and was the main reason for bringing my car to them. None of the issues were actually fixed. Not going back.Edit: arguing with me via text about their quoted pricing 4 months after the fact doesn't improve my opinion of this business or their practices.
I've been going to Dave's Garage for a while now. Never disappointed. Great service, honest and professional. In a time where true customer service is lacking, Dave's Garage is the best! I recommend them to everyone. They never tell me I need something I don't. I wish more businesses were honest and have pride and integrity as they do!

My review is largely based on customer service as we didn't get our car repaired by them given the timing/part availability. We were in town from Charlotte, NC and our check engine light came on. We needed it fixed before we took our two day trip back home and given the holidays the part and service appointments weren't available anywhere. But Jamie was very gracious and tried everything to get us back on the road while many other dealers/repair shops were short with us. I would highly recommend giving Dave's a call the next time you have a car issue as they were lovely to work with.
I’ve been taking my cars there for a number of years. They do great work in a timely manner at reasonable prices. I have never been disappointed. I had a fuel leak in my Volvo last year. The dealership said they could get to it in a couple of weeks. I called Dave’s and got it in immediately, thanks again for that.
I came in without an appointment during a busy holiday week and a car making a terrible grinding noise. Dave’s Garage did a great job finding and resolving the problem quickly and got me my car back faster than expected. I can’t sing their praises enough - if you need auto work done, you should definitely take your vehicle to Dave’s Garage. Heather and Brandon were fantastic!P.S. Knee Deep rocks!
Everyone was wonderful; they kept me informed, they’re very professional and my car runs beautifully. A little more expensive than other places, but I would rather pay a little more knowing that the job was done right. With COVID-19 distancing measures in place, I handled everything over the phone with Heather. She kept me posted on repair work needed, my car was serviced promptly, and was finished in a couple hours the same day. Very pleased with service and will use Dave’s again for future service needs. First time customer of Dave's and we are pleased. The power steering went out on our Jeep Grand Cherokee. I normally work on our cars myself but this was a little out of my skill set, mainly because I don't have the testing equipment for the proper diagnostics of the hydraulics and the part is too expensive to just guess. Dave's Garage was right on target with what we expected price wise and they exceeded with the service and expertise. They couldn't have been more friendly and Heather following up with us afterwards was a nice touch. I will use them again.
I have been bringing my 2000 Land Rover Discovery to Dave’s garage for over 10 years. They have done a great job servicing my vehicle for simple as well as big jobs, like reworking the cylinder heads. They also do this work at a reasonable price, certainly compared to going to the dealer. They are also responsive to urgent situations, finding a way to fit you in when you need a quick repair.
